CLASS ATTIRE AND SHOES

DANCE CLASS ATTIRE:

Miss Lisa's Dance Express Attire

Girls need to wear
Solid-colored leotard
Lt Toast Tights
Black/Brown Boy Cut Shorts
Boys need to wear:
White Tank Top
Black shorts (above the knee)

Dancers ages 3-6 ( in the 30 & 45 min classes) need to wear tights & leotard. Boy cut shorts are optional.
Shoes are Pink Ballet shoes (not slippers) or Dance Paws, Black Beginner Tap shoes or the Black Advanced Tap Shoe, Black Jazz Gore Boot- You will be advised as to what combination of shoes your dancer needs based on the class he/she is placed in.  Please put your child’s names in their shoes so they don’t get mixed up with other students.
Hair needs to be tied away from face in a bun or ponytail.  If hair isn’t tied back, it becomes difficult for the dancer to dance because it is always in their face or eyes, especially when doing turns. Please place an extra ponytail holder in your dancer’s bag in case their hair isn’t pulled back. Miss Lisas Dance Express, Dance AttirePlease do not expect the instructors to do this job.
Please make sure dancers wear appropriate dance clothes to classes! Warm-up clothes are
permitted, but must be peeled off when the dancer is "warm".
NO BAGGY CLOTHES, SHORTS, OR T-SHIRTS WILL BE PERMITTED! It is too difficult to give the proper corrections if the instructors cannot see their bodies.  Jazz pants & capris will not be allowed in class.  No Jewelry due to safety reasons.

If your dancer has a game before or after class, please do not send them in street clothes; please make sure they have a change of clothes in their dance bag.

If students do not have proper attire on, they will not be allowed to participate in class.

Dance Express allows parents to do one-stop shopping. We have a selection of dancewear and the necessary shoes that dancers will need for their classes. We do this as a convenience to parents. You can check with any of the
dance stores or local department stores as well for leotards, tights, etc.

TUMBLING ATTIRE:
Same as for dance, but, please no tights with feet in them (so use convertible tights), as it tends to be too slippery. Tight capris permitted in tumbling.  We prefer for students to be barefoot or wear jazz/ballet shoes.

SHOES
Pink Ballet, Black beginner tap or Leather tap, Black jazz gore boots are required for our classes.
